About the Experience
Enjoy a day with local guide Paul and his team designed exclusively for Touch of Spice. Hiking, rafting and drift fishing for your own lunch are all on the agenda. Enjoy a gentle hike down the Haast Bridle Track to David Flat where you will find rafts awaiting. Jump in and roll with the waves down the grade two Makarora River towards the stunning Blue Pools. Once through the remaining rapids, it's time to catch some lunch. Drift fish for approximately 15km before stopping to cook up your catch on the embers of an open fire - a feast that's well deserved!
