Less than two hours’ drive from Auckland, The Potting Shed is a luxury escape set amongst native bush and farmland with a waterfall, stream, and extensive cottage gardens. With a very private beach and safe all tide swimming just a 300m stroll away.
Set on the edge of native bush just below the working farm paddocks, The Potting Shed is completely private, being hidden from the view of any other building, far from any man-made noise, enhancing the peace and quiet.
The Potting Shed comes complete with everything you need to truly enjoy your stay. From a fully equipped Miele kitchen, Nespresso machine with capsules, Weber BBQ, an open fire to curl up beside on those cool winter evenings, and a sumptuous en-suite. Just outside the bedroom is the hot tub set at a relaxing 38°C for you to enjoy, morning and night.
Breakfast is provided - items typically include a selection of breads and spreads, free range bacon, eggs from our own free-range hens, muesli, yoghurt and a selection of milks including non-dairy. Nespresso capsules and a selection of teas are provided. A private chef prepared three-course dinner can also be included upon request, catering to all dietary requirements to ensure it’s a stay to remember.
Private slice of paradise
The Potting Shed is one of only two properties with riparian rights and access to the 700m of white sandy beach, safe and quite private all- tide swimming, and fishing. The only public access is an arduous scramble around the rocks from Langs Beach, or, of course, by sea.
The beach is very private with views of the Hen and Chicken Islands. Complimentary watersports available on request kayaks, paddle boards, surf boards, body boards, lifejackets. Other facilities include an astroturf tennis court, pétanque court, and heli pad (approx 37mins travel time from Auckland Airport to The Potting Shed).
Beyond The Potting Shed
The perfect location to access the exclusive Tara Iti Golf Course, Mangawhai Golf Club, Waipu Golf Club and Omaha Golf Club. The area also offers private fishing charters and access to stunning local walks including the Te Araroa Walk and Tanekaha Falls Track - the perfect way to spent a day before relaxing on the beach and in the hot tub come sunset.
