Steeped in history and lovingly restored 

Te Mata House is a beautifully restored homestead set on stunning grounds located in the heart of Hawke’s Bay’s food and wine country. The extensive renovation brings new life to this 168-year-old property, maintaining the architectural features of its colonial origin, but incorporating contemporary design for the modern-day guests.

Te Mata House can be booked out for a group of 14 people, or alternatively smaller groups can choose from a range of accommodation options including Te Mata House ( 4 Bedroom Villa), Te Mata Cottage ( 2 Bedroom Cottage)

Can Accommodate up to eight guests in absolute comfort, with 4 bedrooms in the main house.

The Te Mata House has magnificent en-suite bedrooms, two separate living spaces, two dining rooms, and one guest powder room. The ground floor includes a formal dining and living room, with a roaring fireplace for cold winter nights. The kitchen is expansive and complete with modern day appliances and design.

A casual dining and living area open to the patio providing a perfect setting for entertaining. The designer en-suite bathrooms are well-equipped with natural toiletries, hair dryers, rain shower heads, underfloor heating, and heated towel rails.
