Perched on Queenstown Hill, only a 7 minute drive from Queenstown Airport and a 2 minute drive or 8 minute walk from the heart of Queenstown, Matariki Residence is an entertainer’s heaven.

Space to sleep up to 12 guests
Spread across three main floors, Matariki Residence offers space and privacy for up to 12 guests. Through the front door and up the first flight of stairs lies six king bedroom suites. Three of the bedroom’s suites are lake facing, including one master bedroom with ensuite bathroom. On waking up, guests are treated to dreamy lake and mountain views giving the feeling like they’re living in a water colour painting. The remaining three bedrooms, including the second master with ensuite bathroom are rear facing, opening out to a private adjoining terrace laced in native flora and fauna. Beyond the two master ensuite bathrooms, the remaining four bedrooms share two bathrooms, with an additional powder room on the top floor.
An entertainer’s heaven
Continuing up to the second floor, the large open plan dining area, kitchen, and two lounge areas offer the perfect setting to entertain guests. Finished with beautiful natural tones and soothing blue and green hues that reflect the mountain and lake views, this property feels at home in its surroundings. With panoramic windows stretching the length of the villa, it makes the front lounge the perfect spot to curl up with a book or simply get lost in Queenstown landscape.
Adjacent to the front lounge is the formal dining area complete with side bar – perfect for those pre-dinner or digestif cocktails following a private chef dinner. Only a few stairs away lies a large open kitchen complete with a floating breakfast bar. Perfect for enjoying that morning espresso.
To the right of the kitchen, guests will be fooled by what looks like a large pantry. Through this secret door lies a hidden media room offering the ultimate hideaway for the kids to relax with a movie after an adventurous day in Queenstown. Or even a space for adults to retreat to for a Netflix binge.
In front of the kitchen and back-to-back with the front lounge – separated by an indoor fireplace, lies the second lounge. This lounge is rear facing and features large retractable doors leading to a second outdoor terrace. Complete with Schist stonework fireplace and outdoor seating, it offers the perfect slice of privacy on Queenstown Hill.

We’d recommend leaving the cars parked at home in the double garage and taking the leisurely stroll into town – we can also provide a private chauffeur or transfer to your chosen destination.
