Coronet Ridge Resort sits on Arthurs Point Road above a bend of the Shotover River, its rooms and suites built to face straight out at the water below and the mountains beyond. The Location
Arthurs Point is Queenstown’s quieter alpine address, famous for its dramatic river canyons and rich gold mining history. It’s close enough to the town centre for a short drive, far enough removed that the Shotover River gorge and the surrounding peaks dominate the outlook rather than rooftops. Dining at Coronet Ridge is a highlight, handled by Elevation Bar & Restaurant, positioned high above the Shotover with uninterrupted views across the Wakatipu Basin and the Remarkables. The kitchen works a modern New Zealand register, Royalburn lamb, Mt Cook salmon, high country venison, through breakfast, bar snacks and a full dinner service, with exclusive-use bookings available for private groups.
Guests can move through a day here without leaving the property: breakfast on the terrace, a treatment at the spa, an afternoon in the hot tubs or the private cinema, dinner as the light drops over the gorge.
