Ultraluxe New Zealand Itinerary
Day 1 | Arrival at Omaru Bay for a day at leisure
After arriving in Auckland, you will be met and escorted to the nearby helipad for your private helicopter transfer to Omaru Bay. This is a flight time of approximately 15 minutes.
This afternoon is at your leisure to relax and enjoy your surroundings. Your Touch of Spice guide can assist with any additional arrangements you would like to make.
Day 2 | Boat cruise around the Hauraki Gulf
Board from the property jetty and be transferred to your luxury charter boat to enjoy a day's cruising around Waiheke Island and the Hauraki Gulf.
Your captain and crew will share stories as you cruise past Rangitoto, Motutapu, and Motuhihi Islands. Try your hand at fishing for fresh Snapper, or hop off the boat for a privately guided walk around Rotoroa Island, a conservation sanctuary that is home to many native species.
Day 3 | Art & wine at Waiheke Island
Referred to as the 'Hamptons of the North Island', enjoy a privately guided tour of the island.
Visit local artists studios and galleries before visiting the renowned vineyards that produce world-class wine. Gain exclusive access and meet with the winemakers at Destiny Bay or Te Rere Vineyard - wherever your preferences lay, the day will be tailored to your interests.
Day 4 | Options, options, options… or just relax
A day at leisure - after all you are on holiday! Enojy a beach-side picnic or head back to the house, jump in the infinity pool and relax on a lounger.
Feel like exploring? Jump in a helicopter and to Kauri Cliffs for a game of golf or an exclusive Lost World Excursion in Waitomo (start with a 100m abseil into a cave, and then walk out seeing glow-worms on the way).
Day 5 | Cultural & geothermal experience in Rotorua
A local guide will drive you to a local Marae for an exclusive cultural experience including a powhiri, the traditional welcome ceremony, and also the iconic and skin-tingling Haka. After your Marae visit, you will have a privately guided tour of the geothermal valleys and geysers of Te Puia.
If you would like a more adventurous day in Rotorua, you could also enjoy world class white water rafting and mountain biking instead!
Day 6 | Kiwi Discovery walk & Can-Am tour
Enjoy everything on offer at Cape Kidnappers. The Kiwi Discovery walk is an exclusive experience to guests of Cape Kidnappers. Spot the endangered kiwi in its own natural habitat with an experienced guide as they carry out essential monitoring of kiwi chicks.
Largely inaccessible to regular vehicles, Cape Kidnappers is best explored by Can-Am. Explore the rugged terrain with a personal guide enjoying unrivaled vistas across the entire farm.
Day 7 | Privately Guided winery tour by bike
The Hawke's Bay region is renowned for it's world-class wine - experience this on a scenic cycling ride. Discover the wineries of Black Barn and Te Mata Estate in Havelock North before a 12km cycle on the limestone cycle trail of the landscapes ride to the coastal communities of Haumoana and Te Awanga.
By now you’ll be ready for lunch at the region’s top winery restaurant, Elephant Hill, before a final tasting at Clearview Estate before being transferred by private vehicle back to Cape Kidnapper.
Day 8 | Glacier hiking & Luxury Wilderness Camp
On arrival into Wanaka you will be met by your local guide and board the awaiting helicopter. A scenic helicopter flight over Mt Aspiring National Park for a gourmet picnic & selection of central Otago wines is the perfect pause to take in the remarkable setting.
Fly to a nearby glacier and explore the blue crevasses of icy giants usually the preserve of professionals.
Day 9 | From wilderness to wanderlust
A morning of exploring the remote wilderness rivers and valleys by raft will take you to the perfect location for a picnic lunch.
Fly by helicopter to your Queenstown accommodation, Lodge at The Hills, where a private chef will prepare the perfect dinner to end the perfect day.
Day 10 | Queenstown adventure day
No visit to the ‘adventure capital' would be complete without some adrenaline activities! Maybe an exclusive jetboat ride through narrow canyons? If you still want more, add a Canyon Swing over the Shotover River or a bungy jump over the Kawarau River. A 15,000ft sky dive in one of the most scenic locations on earth could also be one to tick off the bucket list.
Day 11 | Dusky Sound excursion
Fly south west from Queenstown to Dusky Sound and land on a floating helipad. Transfer to ‘Storm Jet’ to enjoy fishing before your guide dons a wetsuit and dives into the water and hunts fresh crayfish for you!
A gourmet lunch will be cooked on board, with NZ wines and beers included.
Retrace the steps where Captain Cook first made landfall in NZ. You can see the remaining tree stumps where he used timber from here to repair his vessel in 1773!
Day 12 | Queenstown wine and art tour
Queenstown is home to an eclectic array of artists and wine makers - meet the pioneers in their various field.
From local galleries and art studios, gain exclusive insight to the winemaking process from the regions award-winning vineyards.
Day 13 | The day is yours
You may like to enjoy one of the many activities on offer - we recommend enjoying a leisurely (or challenging) hike, a round of golf, mountain biking, alpine SUP or simply exploring the towns shops and cafes in Queenstown or nearby Arrowtown.
Your local guide will be on hand throughout the day to help with any arrangements you would like to make.
Day 14 | Homeward bound
Today you will be transferred by private vehicle to the airport to check in for your departing flights homewards.
