Take the scenic drive through the Gibbston Valley and get racey at Highlands Park. Go-kart in your own mini Grand Prix on the world-renowned racetrack and soothe that need for speed. After a busy morning, drive into the heart of the Central Otago wine region and sink into a fur-lined armchair for a tasting and lunch platter at Cloudy Bay's exclusive Tasting Shed. Journey towards the Gibbston wine region, known at the 'Valley of the Vines' and sip more world class Pinot Noir at some of the best wineries and cellar doors in the world.
Hike, Heli & Honey
Join your private guide on an exclusive walking track along Lake Wakitipu at the base of Cecil Peak. Follow the flat bush track towards McKinnons Creek for brunch before flying by private heli towards Mt Nicholas Station where you will collect and harvest honey straight from the hives. Jump back in the heli and soar towards Buzzstop in Queenstown where you will spin your honey and prepare your own sample to take home with you.
Hook to Fork
A day of adventure is on the menu. Enjoy a day with local guide Paul and his team designed exclusively for Touch of Spice. Hiking, rafting and drift fishing for your own lunch are all on the agenda. Enjoy a gentle hike down the Haast Bridle Track to David Flat where you will find rafts awaiting. Jump in and roll with the waves down the grade two Makarora River towards the stunning Blue Pools. Once through the remaining rapids, it's time to catch some lunch. Drift fish for approximately 15km before stopping to cook up your catch on the embers of an open fire - a feast that's well deserved!
