Why should I work with Touch of Spice to market my property?

Our properties are owned by discerning clients, for discerning guests.

We invest a significant amount of time and resource into marketing our portfolio to the world, including off shore trade show representation, in-market sales calls, digital marketing campaigns, print advertising, third party partnerships, international villa alliances and branded collateral.

We are a privately owned and operated business focused solely on selling luxury villa experiences.  We provide you, as the villa owner, a very personal service, while ensuring you and all villa guests feel valued and cared for at all times.

As the first company in New Zealand to recognise a niche and market holiday homes as a luxury accommodation option to rival that of hotels and lodges, our experience in tailor making the private villa experience is unmatched.  We have a very high level of repeat and referral business.

What makes Touch of Spice different from other accommodation listing sites?

Our key point of difference is that we are a bespoke agency offering a bespoke service.  We are not a company looking for thousands of listings operated electronically, we are not a big real estate agency with a small rental division on the side, we are not run from the dining table at home.  We are not like anyone else in New Zealand.  We are the innovators of Luxury Villa Rentals in New Zealand and we are a team of professionals all focused on generating revenue for our owners and exceptional experiences for our guests. We focus on having a quality portfolio that we are proud of and that guests enjoy staying in.

What is your cancellation policy? 

For bookings made more than 45 days in advance of your stay we require a non refundable 25% deposit at the time of booking with the full balance due 45 days prior to arrival*. A 100% cancellation fee for every room night cancelled applies if you cancel 45 days or less prior to your arrival.  For bookings made less than 45 days prior to arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking. A 100% cancellation fee for every room night cancelled within this period applies. We do advise guests to take out holiday insurance in case of unforeseen circumstances.

Covid-19 specific terms: 

Considering the uncertainty created by the COVID-19 situation, if you are unable to travel due to impacts of COVID-19 which include border closures or travel restrictions from your region/country - funds paid will be held for a future stay. Date changes will be subject to availability and rate changes, and there may be some costs associated to the stay dependent on the time of a travel ban that are unavoidable. There is also an administration fee of $250 + GST to cover the additional processing and administration time for changes that need to be made. If you choose to cancel your booking instead of postpone, you will forfeit your non-refundable deposit or full payment plus any costs incurred depending on when your cancellation occurs plus 10% of all activities and experiences that have been booked and organised on your behalf.**

**Please note these terms may vary depending on the property. Your Travel Designer will advise full T&C's at the time of enquiry. 

 

How many minimum nights do I have to stay?

This varies from property to property so please enquire at time of purchase. Generally all villa and holiday homes will have a 3 night minimum stay for most of the year (as per government legislation). This increases to a 5 night minimum stay during peak periods. 

 

What is your child policy? 

For children under 2 years old there is no  additional per person charge. However please be aware if you need a portacot or any other baby equipment arranged for your stay, there will be an additional charge for this of which we will be quoted at the time of enquiry.
 

What time can we check in and our? 

For all properties within the Touch of Spice Private Villa Collection check in time is usually 3pm and check out usually 10am. Wherever possible we will certainly try to accommodate earlier and later check in and out times, but this may not always be possible in the busier periods. If you need an earlier check in or later check out we recommend letting us know as soon as possible.
