NZ Millennium Cup 2012 - Auckland February 2012

The NZ Millennium Cup 2012, a private event for Superyacht owners, their guests and crew, ran over three days from 15th February to 18 February 2012.

There were sections for Sail and Motor Yachts, with a mix of harbour and passage races in the Hauraki Gulf making the most of the spectacular yachting environs.

The NZ Millennium Cup is now an annual fixture on the superyacht circuit, and is set to become the premier Superyacht regatta of the South Pacific.

Reigning NZ Millennium Cup champion, Silvertip, was declared the winner of the 2012 NZ Millennium Cup. Silvertip is a high performance 33.8-metre sloop built by Yachting Developments in Auckland in 2001 and is also the first yacht to ever win both the International Superyacht Society's Best Sailing Yacht and Showboats' Best Sailing Yacht awards in her class.
