Renting a Villa - FAQs

For some the concept of holidaying in a private villa is a new one and one that at times needs some explanation. Below we to hope to answer some of the questions you may have when considering a Villa holiday:

 

Staying in a private villa or exclusive holiday home offers you the luxury of a lodge or hotel with all the little finishing touches you would expect but with complete privacy, flexibility and more space in which to relax and enjoy your chosen destination on your timeframe.

 
 

Our nightly rates generally include: a personal meet and greet, all linen, fresh milk on arrival, exclusive use of the villa, a check out clean and servicing for longer stays. Full concierge services such as an in-house chef, security and childcare can be provided at an additional cost. A full pantry provisioning service can also be provided at additional cost.

Please note that post stay clean costs may be chargeable to larger parties, and that peak rates apply in June, July and August. Please confirm with us at the time of booking.

 
 

Yes, all the necessary cleaning items and basic household items such as paper towels, washing up liquid, washing powder, oil, salt, pepper and tissues are included.

 
 

All our properties, unless specified at the time of booking, have wireless internet access, cell phone coverage, Sky TV, private laundry facilities and off street or garage parking. Most master bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with the majority of villas offering a bathroom for each bedroom. We also have villas with heli landing facilities, pools, putting greens, saunas and spas.

 
 

Our check in time is usually 3pm and check out usually 11am. Wherever possible we will certainly try to accommodate earlier and later check in and out times, but this may not always be possible in the busier periods.

 
 

A complete in-house compendium is provided in each holiday home. The compendium contains detailed instructions on all the appliances as well as the entertainment systems, pools and spas. Useful local information is also included, such as a list of local restaurants, phone numbers for a doctor, a dentist and police, as well as information on local activities.

 
 

Full emergency numbers including doctor, dentist, police and fire are detailed in each villa's in-house compendium. In addition all Touch of Spice guests have access to our 24/7 out of hours emergency number so we are only a phone call away should the worst happen.

 
 

For bookings made more than 30 days in advance of your stay we require a non refundable 25% deposit at the time of booking with the full balance due 30 days prior to arrival. A 100% cancellation fee for every room night cancelled applies if you cancel 30 days or less prior to your arrival.  For bookings made less than 30 days prior to arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking. A 100% cancellation fee for every room night cancelled within this period applies. We do advise guests to take out holiday insurance in case of unforeseen circumstances.
