The Bachelor's Jason - This Time I'm Sure
Jason Mesnick has a confession: "I hate roses." So when he
decided to propose to Molly Malaney on October 21 at the secluded
Kohara Lodge in Queenstown, New Zealand - yes the very site of the
pair's exotic overnight date during his stint as the Bachelor - he
simply presented her with an arrangement of wild flowers. One other
major alteration? "No TV cameras anywhere!".

Certainly the couple had seen the majority of their milestones
publicly documented - and mercilessly criticised.
A primer: On the March finale of The Bachelor (taped in November
2008) Mesnick, an ex-insurance agent who had been rejected by
DeAnna Pappas on The Bachelorette earlier that year, passed over
department store buyer Malaney and proposed to ex-Dallas Cowboys
cheerleader Melissa Rycroft. However during the After the Final
Rose special - taped in January, six weeks after the proposal, but
broadcast the same night as the finale - Mesnick revealed he'd had
a change of heart. In truly the most shocking Bachelor twist ever,
he dumped Rycroft on-air and begged Malaney to take him
back....
